It’s all about motivation

August 29th 2007

Personally I find when doing pretty much anything it helps me to look at how someone else is performing to enhance my performance. It’s good to identify that you’re slacking and it really helps to see someone else doing well to get you out of a rut.

I have only been doing this for a week exactly as of today, Starr Horne has only been doing it a couple of days so I would say were in a similar position and face similar challenges. I hope seeing his progress motivates me - who knows maybe I will have the same effect on him.

I wish him the best of luck and I have already subscribed to his feed.

  1. Hey Tony,

I saw your pingback and decided to come check out your blog. Really liked the photos of your workspace. My own isn’t nearly as nice, but I’ve decided that my first $600 in profits are going towards a fancy chair. :)

Have you started work on your product yet? I couldn’t find any mention of it here.

We all definitely need to stick together. Go MicroISV class of ‘07!

  2. Thanks for the response Starr, your probably my very first visitor.

I think it probably comes across that I like a nice space to work at. I had been putting off buying a new machine for some time until Vista had been released. I think a chair is a fantastic idea when thinking about the hours your going to spend in it.

I have started working on my product although only a week ago. I will be posting about it this later in the week. I am kinda building up to it with a few ‘pillar’ posts to give it some support.

We sure do, it’s very exciting, much better use of our time than browsing the Internet.

  3. How do you like vista? Results seem to be mixed.

    Looking forward to the announcement!

  4. I actually like vista, it’s stable for me never crashed, runs like a rocket and is a pleasure to use once configured to your taste - disable UAC etc

I think a lot of it depends on the hardware and available drivers but as I built this machine specifically to run vista I did my homework.

I decided to announce early, peer pressure already :-) Keeping a blog is hard work never mind actually building the product.
